Researchers can explore taking tech to marketplace with I-Corps short course
Penn State’s I-Corps short course is accepting applications for its October-November cohort. The no-cost program helps researchers test a startup idea through customer discovery and lean startup methodology. The cohort will begin on Oct. 21 and runs through Nov. 11.
Graduate student complements coursework with hands-on assistantship
Penn State graduate student Amanda Enns is creating an action plan for small to medium-sized businesses to best approach Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. Enns, who is pursuing a master’s degree through the Engineering Leadership and Innovation Management (ELIM) program in the Penn State School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs, is complementing her coursework with an assistantship through Penn State’s Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP).

Alumna-founded startup Argolytics joins NSF I-Corps National Teams program
In 2018, Serensits launched Argolytics and flagship product Trendable, a software that enables manufacturers to easily collect, analyze and report quality-control data. This past spring, Serensits participated in the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) National Teams program — an immersive, entrepreneurial training program that facilitates the transformation of invention to impact for participating teams nationwide.
