New Kensington innovation hub and Bridgeway Capital to launch new program

The Small Business Reboot Co-op, a free, four-session program, will feature topics such as business plan development, marketing, loan readiness and accounting. An information session is scheduled for April 6.

Startup Week to kick off with free food giveaway at Rolling Lion food truck

The Rolling Lion food truck will be giving away free stickies and street tacos courtesy of Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 4. The truck will be parked behind Carnegie Building across from Willard Building on the University Park campus.

6 student startups each receive $15,000, selected into Summer Founders program

Six Penn State student startups with representation across three different campuses plus the Graduate School at Penn State have been selected into the 2022 Invent Penn State Summer Founders program. Each student team will receive a $15,000 grant to work full time on its startup, social good or nonprofit over the summer at Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony heralds opening of Brandywine LaunchBox

Joined by several dozen community leaders, elected officials and business owners, Penn State President Eric J. Barron and Penn State Brandywine Chancellor Marilyn J. Wells presided over a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on March 18 to mark the opening of the Brandywine LaunchBox — an innovation space that provides no-cost resources for entrepreneurs and innovators.

Berks LaunchBox celebrates 3rd anniversary in City of Reading

In January 2019, the Berks LaunchBox opened its doors within the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in downtown Reading. Over the last three years, the Berks LaunchBox has grown substantially to become a cornerstone of support for budding entrepreneurs.
