Advanced 3D scanning expands NCPA LaunchBox services for industry, startups

The North Central PA LaunchBox powered by Penn State DuBois continues to add tools to its state-of-the-art lineup of technology aimed at developing area businesses and industry. The latest piece of equipment available for use by industry partners and individuals, a turntable 3D scanner, just arrived in the on-campus Idea Lab in February.

6 Penn State student startups set to compete for $30,000 in Inc.U Competition

Six Penn State student startup teams have been selected as finalists in the Invent Penn State Inc.U Competition and are set to compete for $30,000 in funding on “The Investment,” a WPSU Shark Tank-like television production that will be livestreamed during Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC.

Governor proposes 5% funding increase for Penn State

During his annual budget address on Tuesday, Feb. 8, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf unveiled a proposed state budget for 2022-23 that includes a 5% funding increase for Penn State, in addition to $2.35 million in new funding for Invent Penn State, a program focused on driving economic development and entrepreneurship across the state.
