Hazleton LaunchBox helps diverse community of entrepreneurs launch

The 4,000 square foot Hazleton LaunchBox offers a myriad of services to its clients, including co-working space, startup educational programs and consulting, legal and intellectual property clinics and website design. Since September 2019, the Hazleton LaunchBox has already hosted more than 200 community members and provided a range of services and support for more than 30 businesses.

Penn State to play key role in Mid-Atlantic NSF I-Corps Hub

The National Science Foundation has awarded Penn State $1.5 million as one of eight universities selected to participate in the Mid-Atlantic NSF I-Corps Hub, led by the University of Maryland. This funding will enable Penn State to expand entrepreneurial training to academic researchers in science and engineering to foster and maintain U.S. global leadership in innovation.

The Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank 2021-22 FastTrack Accelerator will have three information sessions leading up to its application deadline of Nov. 1. The 15-week, no-cost business accelerator, which helps startups advance from a validated idea to attaining their first customer, will run from December 2021 through April 2022.
