PNC Foundation gifts Penn State and Penn State Health $2 million

Penn State and Penn State Health joined with the PNC Foundation to announce a $2 million grant that will support programming to cultivate wellness and foster economic innovation in communities across the south-central Pennsylvania region and beyond.

$1.5 million grant to expand Behrend lab and Innovation Beehive Network

The Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded $1.5 million to the Northwest Pennsylvania Innovation Beehive Network, which includes Penn State Behrend’s Innovation Commons. The Beehive sites provide entrepreneurial support and business guidance to companies and inventors in 17 counties.

FastTrack Accelerator helps community entrepreneur build collaboration app

State College community member John Stogin went to Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank in search of connections to people who could help advance a virtual collaboration app he created called Scratchwork. Through his participation in the Happy Valley LaunchBox FastTrack Accelerator, Stogin was able to focus on the business development side of his venture.
