Penn State SBDC to celebrate National Small Business Week
PENNSYLVANIA – The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will celebrate National Small Business Week from May 4–10 with a series of events designed to support and empower entrepreneurs.
On May 8, the center will host a virtual seminar titled Contract Essentials for Small Businesses from 11 am – Noon. Attorneys from the Penn State Dickinson Law Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic will guide participants through key considerations when selecting a legal structure and explain how that choice can impact your business contracts.
The SBDC will also participate in the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce’s May Business Breakfast Club on May 7, from 8 – 9:30 a.m. This in-person event will highlight a variety of local resources available to small business owners.
“National Small Business Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the vital role small businesses play in our communities,” said Tim Keohane, director of the Penn State SBDC. “We’re proud to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey and connect them with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to grow and contribute to a thriving local economy.”
Additionally, entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend the SBA’s National Small Business Week Virtual Summit, a free online event featuring educational presentations, exhibit booths, peer-to-peer networking, and expert business advice from SCORE mentors.
