OriginLabs receives $1.5M to support equipment purchases, workshop delivery

OriginLabs, Invent Penn State’s all-new prototyping and product development facility located in the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub was recently awarded an Appalachian Regional Commission grant that was matched 1:1 by the University, for a total of $1.5 million to fund the purchase of key equipment and delivery of free workshop programming.

Penn State LaunchBoxes accepting applications for winter 2023 Idea TestLab

Entrepreneurs will have a chance to test out their ideas at the winter 2023 Idea TestLab, sponsored by the Mont Alto and York LaunchBoxes. Applications are being accepted now through Jan. 9, 2023, for this free, five-week, virtual accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs determine the viability of their business idea.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre provides support, feedback for entrepreneurs

Penn State Wilkes-Barre partnered with several other campuses to help potential entrepreneurs in the community test the viability of their ideas. The Northeast Region Idea TestLab, offered through the Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton and Lehigh Valley campuses, brought together a group of people in all phases of entrepreneurship to provide expert and peer support feedback for their ideas.

Berks LaunchBox announces winners of pitch competition

Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State recently announced the winners of its third pitch competition. DN Organics took first place and Paragon Behavioral Health took second. Both companies received $125 in seed funding from the LaunchBox.
