Ribbon-cutting ceremony heralds opening of Brandywine LaunchBox
Joined by several dozen community leaders, elected officials and business owners, Penn State President Eric J. Barron and Penn State Brandywine Chancellor Marilyn J. Wells presided over a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on March 18 to mark the opening of the Brandywine LaunchBox — an innovation space that provides no-cost resources for entrepreneurs and innovators.

Berks LaunchBox celebrates 3rd anniversary in City of Reading
In January 2019, the Berks LaunchBox opened its doors within the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in downtown Reading. Over the last three years, the Berks LaunchBox has grown substantially to become a cornerstone of support for budding entrepreneurs.

$2.13 million endowment will support Behrend’s Innovation Commons
A new $2.13 million endowment will expand Penn State Behrend’s Innovation Commons, a product design and prototyping lab and the first site for the Northwest Pennsylvania Innovation Beehive Network, a partnership of institutions in the Erie region.

Invent Penn State LaunchBoxes announce winners of 2022 Idea TestLab
The Penn State Mont Alto, Harrisburg and York LaunchBoxes recently announced the three winning startups of their regional Idea TestLab pitch competition. The competition concludes a five-week-long virtual business idea accelerator that helped eight selected startups through coaching and training on identifying business models and customer discovery.

Lehigh Valley LaunchBox Ladies event spotlights community banks
On Wednesday, March 3, Lehigh Valley LaunchBox powered by Penn State’s LaunchBox Ladies series hosted a forum on the critical role community banks play in the world of entrepreneurism. The virtual program, “Community Banks Small Business Funding Opportunity,” featured three local banking professionals discussing the many ways that small businesses and start-ups can take advantage of the funding opportunities provided by community banks.

NCPA LaunchBox helps bring Beaver Commons to life at DuBois Area High School
A wall covering measuring 19 feet long and nearly 6 feet high was created on the new advanced vinyl printer in the on-campus Idea Lab, providing a focal point and displaying school spirit for the new Beaver Commons Area at DuBois Area High School.
