I-Corps Cohorts & Events

As part of the NSF I-Corps Mid-Atlantic Hub, Penn State offers several short, intense, bootcamp-style cohorts in the short course program. Participants work closely with teammates, other teams, and with mentors and instructors to develop business models around their innovations.

Additionally, the Penn State NSF I-Corps team will begin to host informational sessions and events in the new Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub in fall 2023 for researchers interested in learning more about the program.

Upcoming Cohorts

The short course program is approximately three weeks in duration, with the cohort meeting virtually once a week during the month span. Teams must also commit to conducting a significant number of customer interviews during the four weeks, and to completing asynchronous assignments. Participants should plan on spending 5-10 hours/week of their time on I-Corps during this month long process.

Penn State teams are welcome to apply to other regional short course offerings from the broader region. Contact the Penn State NSF I-Corps Program Manager, Derek Gross, to find the best solution for your team.
