Fifth day of Startup Week themed ‘explore PA entrepreneurship’

University Park, PA – In its seventh year, Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC will now feature uniquely themed days with featured speakers, interactive events, and late-night activities throughout the week. The fifth day of Startup Week, Friday, March 24, is themed Explore PA Entrepreneurship, with the following highlights: 

Featured events: 

PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship Field Trip, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm: Join 2023 Penn State Startup Week on a trip to the Pennsylvania Wilds! Hosted by the PA Wild Center for Entrepreneurship, students will learn about natural resource-based entrepreneurship. This is a free trip, and lunch is provided.  

Penn State Student Entrepreneurs Marketplace, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Stop by 3 Dots in Downtown State College to check out products and services offered by Penn State student entrepreneurs! 

The First Steps to Small Business Success, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: If you’re interested in entrepreneurship or are thinking about starting a business, attend this seminar to get an overview of what it takes to run and start a business. 

Building Backwards to Biotech: The Power of Entrepreneurship to Drive Cutting-Edge Science to Market, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Join CEO of BioVenture Advising LLC as she shares her career path from scientist to biotech cofounder, as well as methods you need to understand to start your own start-up or understand the exciting emerging industry of biotech. 

In addition, the Brazilian Munchies food truck will be parked at the back of the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm each day of Startup Week.
