New Penn State Dickinson Law Blog Highlights Intersection of Law and Entrepreneurship
Designed to aid entrepreneurs and their counsel, Inside Entrepreneurship Law is a new blog from Samantha Prince, associate professor of lawyering skills and entrepreneurship at Penn State’s Dickinson Law. The blog features weekly posts from Dickinson Law students and provides information on relevant topics including startups, intellectual property protections, raising capital, employment matters, social entrepreneurship, and more. Recent blog posts covered court rulings and current events, diving into topics such as how to support Black entrepreneurs, preparing to handle future pandemics, and online compliance.
“Our goal has been, and continues to be, to create a valuable resource for entrepreneurs and those who represent them,” Prince said. “In 2019, we started to feature an entrepreneur of the month so we could provide direct guidance from entrepreneurs to other entrepreneurs.”
July 2020 entrepreneur of the month, Judge Jessica Brewbaker, Dickinson Law’s Class of 2000 valedictorian, was interviewed about her successes and failures and how she learned from. She runs an innovative opioid court in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
