Virtual Reality Product Manager at Meta to speak at Penn State Startup Week

UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State alum and Meta product manager Rajesh Rangarajan will speak during Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC on Thursday, March 21 at 3 pm in the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub.

Rangarajan will discuss his work at Meta related to building the Metaverse in Virtual Reality (VR), App Developer opportunities, and Tech Business Models. He will also talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in digital transformation and will share his journey and learnings in addition to taking as many questions as possible from the audience. 

“Coming back to Happy Valley makes me extremely happy as I reminisce some of my fond memories from my time there,” Rangarajan said. “I am thrilled to meet all the student entrepreneurs and learn about their ideas.”

In October 2023, Meta released the Meta Quest 3, the first mass-market mixed reality headset. 

Students, faculty, staff, and community members alike are encouraged to register to attend this free event to learn from this inspiring alum.
